Primary goals: to create a rhythmic sequence of 4 beats combining rhythmic figures and strike the emerging rhythmic sequence by holding the beat.
To carry out this activity we will use the Musi·Rhythms pieces. This is a rhythmic composition material that allows the students to physically move the pieces, rather than writing with a pencil and paper, making it easier for them to focus on the creative activity. Students can be arranged into groups of 3 or in pairs.
To carry out the activity we will provide the students with the rhythmic cards adapted to the level of each group, numbers 2, 3, and 4 (cards, magnets, painted stones, their own drawings, etc.) to write the compass and dividing lines that you can make yourselves using EVA rubber sheets.
When they are finished with the composition we can ask the members of the group to play it simultaneously. First they can clap their hands and then we can make it more difficult by having them beat the small percussion and body percussion instruments. After that we can show it to the rest of the class.
